Embroidery

Embroidery is a technical and creative process used to create patterns on textile products.

It is used commercially in product branding, corporate advertising, uniform adornment and monogramming.

Here at Big River Print Wear we use Tajima embroidery machines to create patterns in coloured thread on various textile products such as polo’s, business shirts, aprons and caps.

Our embroidery machines are computer programmed and embroider stored patterns. We can embroider up to 15 different thread colours in one design.

The basic steps for creating embroidery with a computerized embroidery machine are as follows:

Needle & Thread   create a digitized embroidery design file

Needle & Thread   embroider a sample for approval, edit the design if required

Needle & Thread   load the final design file into the embroidery machine

Needle & Thread   program the design/thread colours

Needle & Thread   stabilize and hoop the fabric and place it in the machine

Needle & Thread   start and monitor the embroidery machine
